Free Printable Menu Planner
It is a constant struggle for me to cook let alone actually eat healthy. My husband Pat and I continuously plan on starting the Whole30 but have only succeeded the plan two times. It’s never the right time, because of how restrictive it can be, so we always end up calling it quits by the weekend. In order to stay on track even a little bit requires a bit of planning. Enter: free printable menu planner. It gives you plenty of room to plan meals for the week and a space to include a shopping list. For me, menu planning is the only way to avoid that whole “what’s for dinner” conundrum. If I don’t menu plan we just end up on Grubhub,taking us way off track.
Lately, we have decided to start eating whole30ish…honestly just eating how you should eat in general. However, It helps us to have the whole30 principles in mind to remind us to eat a bit cleaner. It seems during the summer we have the hardest time maintaining a menu routine because we are constantly going out, hanging out with family, and attending parties/bbq’s. Which leads us to do whole30ish during the week and go somewhat rogue on the weekends. It is all about that balance though! So it’s fine…
I do find it somewhat ironic though that the few months a year you actually want/need/shouldbe in shape is when all the good food is happening (a lot of it is fruit, but still!, burgers, ice cream, potato salad?!? my mom makes a mean potato salad!) Then again, every season has good food so really whole30ISH is the way to go! I know I’ll be printing this free printable menu planner out every week to maintain some sort of order within our eating routines, and I hope it helps you to do the same.
